Watch ?Doctored? to learn how the Chiropractic profession survived and thrived through the unprofessional attacks made by the American Medical Association (AMA). ?Doctored? displays the fight the Chiropractic profession went through to combat the slanderous and unproven negative assaults the AMA aimed at it.
I highly recommend this powerful movie for viewers of all health and fitness levels. ?Doctored? is a 2012 full length documentary film. ?Doctored? explains the fight the Chiropractic profession put up to battle the American Medical Associations unethical attacks.
In 1963 the AMA developed a plan to discredit and eradicate the Chiropractic profession. The AMA devised a plan to monopolize American?s health care choices with a nationwide illegal conspiracy to kill Chiropractic. The AMA created a ?Committee on Chiropractic,? later changing the name to the ?Committee on Quackery.?
The AMA aimed to ?contain and eliminate? the public?s usage of chiropractic care by labeling Doctor?s of Chiropractic as ?killers,? ?unscientific cultists? and teaching first year medical students that Chiropractic doctor?s were quacks.
The Chiropractic profession battled back with a vengeance. In 1987 the AMA was found guilty of attempting to ?contain and eliminate? the Chiropractic profession. The AMA?s immorally corrupt plan was exposed and found to be politically and economically motivated.
The AMA?s attack backfired. It provided the Chiropractic profession a national stage to demonstrate the safety, effectiveness and scientific validity of Chiropractic treatment. CHIROPRACTIC WON.
Dr. Louis Sportelli, D.C is shown and interviewed throughout the movie. His leadership of thousands of dedicated Chiropractors worldwide helped move the Chiropractic profession into a positively viewed health care alternative.
?Doctored? points out how a positive change in the AMA?s approach to Chiropractic would be ?What?s best for the patients.? If the Chiropractic and Medical committees worked together healthcare would be much more effective and the patients would benefit.
The Chiropractic profession believes patient care should begin with the least invasive treatment type then progress to the most invasive form of treatment. In proper order patient care should be, ?Chiropractic first, medication second and surgery third.?
Chiropractic treatment addresses the fundamental cause of pain, symptoms and sickness. Chiropractic care maximizes function and performance. Utilize Chiropractic care on a regular basis to live a healthier, fitter and more functional life.
Watch the movie ?Doctored? to learn how the Chiropractic profession successfully combated the AMA unethical attacks and become a stronger profession. Educate yourself and your family on the numerous health benefits of Chiropractic treatment.
