Creating a well-designed website might help assure your business' success, specially in a competitive area like Calgary. Web design corporations in this area are really simple to locate, but locating the right one to handle your web page might be a challenge. Here are some issues you will need to do when deciding on which group of website designers to hire.
See if Their Style Suits Your Business

Others may rob your firm's personal data for their personal benefit.
This is why you should only choose a staff of website designers if you're confident they have a great track record. Health And Beauty Articles? Blog Archive ? Physical Fitness ...
Everyone wants to enjoy all the great physical fitness benefits, but for most they will only dream about it. This is unfortunate but it?s their choice; it doesn?t have to be yours. All aspects of your life will improve if you make the effort to be physically fit. You will also improve both your quality of life and your chances for living longer. Of equal importance, you will enjoy more freedom during those later years. Now compare that with those who ignore physical fitness who become the walking wounded in old age. By becoming more physically fit, you can start enjoying the following benefits.
You will burn more calories by becoming more active. There is a direct relationship between intensity of work-out and number of calories burned. This is an excellent way to help manage your weight, whether you?re looking to lose or to maintain.
Getting exercise is a continuous battle for millions of Americans. If that describes you, then you can ease into the swing of things. Start very small by doing something different such as walking up the stairs rather than taking the elevator. You can give yourself more foot time by parking a little farther away from your destination. The best thing you can do after your (heavy) evening meal is go for a walk. Your body will be better able to digest your food this way, too.
Sexuality is another area of your life that can be enhanced by increased physical fitness. There are many factors involved between a good fitness program and a greater frequency of sex plus a greater ability to enjoy it. Exercising improves the overall blood circulation in your body, which is of particular importance to men.
You can sustain erections for a longer period of time due to this increased circulation. For women, it is known that regular work-outs can have a positive impact on arousal as the reports are that it is enhanced.
It?s great if your preferred mode of exercise is strength training. Strength training offers tons of benefits. Whether you use your body weight for resistance or weights, the benefits are fairly similar if not the same. There are several benefits including, but not limited to, greater muscle strength and definition, stronger tendons and ligaments, decreased body fat, and more muscle mass. Instead of drinking water tend to drink a ViSalus as it is an effective drink that will help to burn fats and makes your body fit. If you plan to engage in this kind of activity, you need to be sure that you eat healthily so that you get the nutritional support that you will need. There really isn?t any part of your life that can?t be improved by physical fitness. It?s just a matter of committing yourself to work for the changes you want to see.

Scientists clone 'survivor' elm trees
Scientists at the University of Guelph have found a way to successfully clone American elm trees that have survived repeated epidemics of their biggest killer ? Dutch elm disease.
The breakthrough, published today in the Canadian Journal of Forest Research, is the first known use of in vitro culture technology to clone buds of mature American elm trees.
"This research has the potential to bring back the beloved American elm population to North America," said Prof. Praveen Saxena, a plant scientist who worked on the project with Professor Alan Sullivan. Both are from Guelph's Department of Plant Agriculture.
"It may also serve as a model to help propagate and preserve thousands of other endangered plant species at risk of extinction across the globe."
Majestic American elms were among the most popular and recognizable trees in Ontario, lining boulevards and adorning city centres. But more than 95 per cent of the population in Eastern Canada and the United States has now been wiped out by Dutch elm disease.
The imported fungal infection interferes with water transport and stops nutrients from circulating in the tree. Only about one in 100,000 elms may be naturally resistant to the pathogen.
Looking for new techniques to clone and produce resistant trees through micropropagation, the Guelph researchers selected tissue samples from survivors in Ontario, including a century-old elm tree growing on the U of G campus.
"The trees that have survived initial and subsequent epidemics potentially represent an invaluable source of potential disease resistance for future plantings and breeding programs," Saxena said.
After growing genetic copies from the shoot tips and dormant buds, the researchers hope to select germplasm with the desired traits including disease-resistance which will further aid elm breeding and biotechnology programs around the world.
They also perfected a way to conserve germplasm over the long term. A germplasm repository now contains 17 accessions collected from mature elm trees that survived across Ontario.
"Our results demonstrate the usefulness of in vitro technologies for conserving and reintroducing endangered germplasm of economic, social and environment significance," Saxena said.
In vitro conservation technology is highly efficient and better than seed banks for conservation of many plant species, he added. Hundreds of genotypes with known phenotypes can be conserved in a safe small space and can easily be propagated.
The professors worked with Guelph postdoctoral researchers Mukund Shukla and Maxwell Jones; Chunzhao Liu, Professor, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing; and Susan Gosling of the Gosling Foundation.
"We want to conserve and propagate the American elm and many other rare and endangered Canadian native species so that we can start to replace what has been decimated along the way," said Gosling.
Saxena said the team hopes to reintroduce disease-resistant trees. "The need to conserve endangered plant species in provinces such as Ontario where urban sprawl continues is crucial and urgent."

Oil falls to near $106 after US crude supply jump
Oil prices fell to near $106 a barrel Wednesday after a report showed a larger-than-expected jump in U.S. crude supplies, suggesting demand remains weak.
By early afternoon in Europe, benchmark oil for May delivery was down 91 cents to $106.42 in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract was up 30 cents to settle at $107.33 per barrel in New York on Tuesday.
In London, Brent crude for May delivery was down $1.20 at $124.34 per barrel in London.
The American Petroleum Institute said late Tuesday that crude inventories rose 3.6 million barrels last week while analysts surveyed by Platts, the energy information arm of McGraw-Hill Cos., had predicted an increase of 2.8 million barrels.
Inventories of gasoline increased 1.3 million barrels last week while distillates tumbled 1.4 million barrels, the API said.
The Energy Department's Energy Information Administration reports its weekly supply data ? the market benchmark ? later Wednesday.
If the API figures stand, U.S. crude stockpiles would be at their highest level in seven months, according to analysts from Commerzbank in Frankfurt.
Crude has jumped from $75 in October as signs of an improving U.S. economy bolstered investor confidence. However, demand hasn't picked up yet and economists expect consumption could remain tepid with U.S. gasoline prices nearing $4.00 a gallon.
Some analysts forecast weaker economic growth and demand from China, the world's second largest economy, will pull oil prices lower. Capital Economics expects Brent crude to fall to below $100 by the end of the year.
"Perhaps the biggest concerns are the signs of weakness in China," Capital Economics said in a report. "The years of sustained double-digit growth in China's economy are now ancient history and the risks over the next several years, both to growth and commodity demand, lie overwhelmingly on the downside."
In other energy trading, heating oil was down 2.19 cents at $3.2141 per gallon and gasoline futures fell 4.22 cents at $3.3442 per gallon. Natural gas slid 1.2 cents at $2.282 per 1,000 cubic feet.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) ? Albuquerque police officers involved in a rash of fatal shootings over the past two years were paid up to $500 under a union program that some have likened to a bounty system in a department with a culture that critics have long contended promotes brutality.
Mayor Richard Berry called Friday for an immediate halt to the practice, which was first reported in the Albuquerque Journal during a week in which Albuquerque police shot and killed two men. Since 2010, Albuquerque police have shot 23 people, 18 fatally.
"The administration has nothing to do with how the union conducts their business," Berry said in a statement, "but I was shocked yesterday when made aware of this practice. I cannot stand aside and condone this practice. It needs to end now."
Although the union said the payments were intended to help the officers decompress from a stressful situation, one victim's father and a criminologist said it sounded more like a reward program.
"I think it might not be a bounty that they want it for," said Mike Gomez, the father of an unarmed man killed by police last year, "but in these police guys' minds, they know they are going to get that money. So when they get in a situation, it's who's going to get him first? Who's going to shoot him first?"
Maria Haberfeld, chair of the Department of Law & Police Science at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, said she found the program disturbing.
"I'm not a psychologist. I'm a criminologist. But if you give somebody a monetary incentive to do their job, usually people are tempted by the monetary incentive," she said. "To me, this is a violation of professional ethics."
Other law enforcement officials called speculation of a bounty system ridiculous but acknowledged the payments could be poorly perceived.
"Frankly, it's insulting and very insensitive that somebody would believe that a police officer would factor in a payment for such a difficult decision," said Joe Clure, president of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association.
Clure said his union gives officers who fire their guns in the line of duty a $25 dinner card and a few movie tickets. On rare occasions, the union will give as much as $500 for a hotel room and travel for an officer who is having an especially difficult time in the aftermath of a shooting, although he doesn't recall that happening in about 10 years.
In Idaho, State Police Cpl. Fred Rice, chairman of the Idaho State Police Association, said his organization made a conscious decision not to give cash or checks.
"That would almost look like to me, if I gave every time an officer involved in a shooting a $500 check, someone might think, 'Oh, that's a quick way to make money,'" he said.
Rice said his organization takes steps to help officers involved in shootings on a case-by-case basis, usually selecting something specific to help that officer unwind and relax, like a weekend ski trip or dinner with their spouse.
"The requests are usually brought to our board anonymously, by people who know them and know they might need a break. It may be nothing more than to go and have dinner with them," Rice said.
David Klinger, a former police officer who is now a criminologist at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, said he saw no problem with the program, noting the officers already have administrative time off and need to deal with a very stressful situation.
"I've been through it," he said. "And if someone wanted to say, 'Hey, Dave ... we want you to go hang out in San Diego and sip sarsaparilla on the seashore,' I think that would be a grand idea."
The Journal reported that 20 of the 23 officers involved in 20 police shootings in 2010 and 2011 received payments of either $300 or $500 each, which the union said were meant to help them and their families "find a place to have some privacy and time to decompress outside the Albuquerque area."
Three more men have been shot by Albuquerque police this year, all fatally. It was not known if they have received the union payment.
Berry called on Police Chief Ray Schultz to work with the union to end the practice.
Schultz, who called the practice "troubling," said the union has agreed to hold an emergency board meeting.
Sean Wallace, the officer who shot Gomez's son, was among those who received $500 in 2011. He also received $500 after a non-fatal shooting in 2010.
Wallace didn't immediately respond Friday afternoon to an email request for comment relayed through the Albuquerque Police Department.
Joey Sigala, president of the Albuquerque Police Officers Association, and Felipe Garcia, the vice president, declined to be interviewed, but they told the Journal in a statement that "any claim or assertion that these were somehow cash payments for the officer merely 'shooting someone' are absolutely ridiculous and false."
Critics have blamed the escalation in shootings that began in 2010 on what they said is a long-standing culture that condones police brutality. In addition to the shootings, the department came under scrutiny last year for comments made by officers on social media. For example, one of the officers involved in a fatal shooting described his occupation on Facebook as "human waste disposal." Another said on MySpace that "Some people are alive only because killing them is illegal."
The shootings have prompted calls from activists and the City Council for a U.S. Department of Justice review. They have also spurred changes in hiring and training practices at the Police Department.
Prior to 2010, the city's historical average for officer-involved shootings was five or a six a year, officials have said.
The DOJ last year began an initial probe to determine if a civil rights investigation is warranted.

How many college basketball jobs are better than Tennessee?
During Tuesday night's brief panic over a single story claiming mutual interest between Cuonzo Martin and Illinois, an interesting topic played out in our comments: is Illinois really a better basketball job than Tennessee?
My first impression was that, while Tennessee is clearly the better job for 2012-13, Illinois is still the better program long-term. But several made the good point that, if the Vols continue to ascend as Cuonzo Martin continues the journey Bruce Pearl started, Tennessee could become the better program down the road. Tennessee Basketball hasn't hit its ceiling and we've still got plenty of room to grow.
But in the present moment, exactly where does Tennessee stand among college basketball programs nationally?
Bruce Pearl always spoke of this as a Top 20 job nationally, especially at the end of his tenure. That's a status he helped create, and we saw it pay off last year: those who were worried that Tennessee would fall behind others with job openings last year, including Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Missouri, NC State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M were pleasantly surprised to find Tennessee got the guy they wanted, and after one year only Missouri had a stronger regular season, and only NC State had a stronger postseason. I was among the many who overreacted to Pearl's departure and didn't fully appreciate the growth of the program and its ability to stay in the national conversation.
Since Pearl's arrival, Tennessee has been in the top five nationally in attendance seven years in a row. And the Vols have made three Sweet Sixteens since 2007 - consider that only 52 programs have made the Sweet 16 at all in the last six years, and only four from the SEC. No team has made the Sweet Sixteen in each of the last six years, only Kansas and North Carolina have made it five times, and only Ohio State, Michigan State, and Xavier have made it four out of six. This current run ties the Vols with Florida, Butler, Memphis, Louisville, Wisconsin, Duke, Syracuse, and Kentucky with three Sweet Sixteens in six years...pretty good company, if you ask me.
So we're obviously biased and I'm sure that'll come into play here, but where do the Vols rank in terms of national jobs right now? After the jump, we'll look at several different tiers and attempt to place the Vols in one of them. Should fans of other teams stumble across this, I'm sure you'll be happy to tell us why we're wrong. And in some cases you'll be right, and in some cases Washington will still be a sub-lateral move in football.
Let's take a look...
The Trifecta: Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina
No debate here: the three most consistently powerful basketball schools in the country. Duke has made eleven Final Fours since 1986, winning four titles. Carolina has made nine Final Fours since 1991, winning three titles. And Kentucky has made five Final Fours since 1993, winning twice. UK and UNC are the overwhelming favorites to be there again this year. Where Kentucky is slightly behind in recent Final Four appearances, they make up the difference with obsessive fan support, the perfect complement to the passion and excellence of SEC Football. You only leave these jobs for the NBA, and Rick Pitino will tell you that's a bad idea.
The Once and Future Kings: Indiana, UCLA
IU hasn't made a Final Four since 2002 and is back in the Sweet 16 for the first time since then, but that doesn't keep them too far away from the top of a list of the best college basketball jobs. Like Kentucky, it's a basketball obsessed state and the primary athletic program at its university by light years. UCLA may be in trouble right now, but don't forget that this team made three straight Final Fours from 2006-08. The team with the most championships in NCAA history and one of the best locations will always be a top destination job in this sport.
The Modern Powers: Kansas, Michigan State, UConn
UConn doesn't get there quite as often, but the Huskies have made four Final Fours since 1999 and won three of them. Kansas has made seven Final Fours since 1986, winning in 1988 and 2008. Michigan State had Magic Johnson's championship team in 1979, and has made six Final Fours since 1999, winning it all in 2000. These three programs don't pack quite the same prestige as Duke, UK, and UNC, but you know they're going to be great almost every single year.
That's eight schools that are not up for debate - all eight of these programs are clearly better jobs than Tennessee.
From here, there's room for conversation on a number of schools - would Tennessee be considered a better job than any of these (tiers are not ranked in any real order):
We Play Basketball Too!: Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas
Though of this group only Florida has won a title in the last twenty years (Michigan won in 1989, Ohio State in 1960, Texas never), these are teams that should always be good because of location and the power of their athletic departments. Of this group, Tennessee has better facilities and better fan support than any of them by far. But unless NCAA sanctions get in the way, this group tends to rise above the trend of being good based on the strength of a couple great recruiting classes, then coming back down to earth. Texas has made three Elite Eights since 2003, Ohio State two Final Fours since 1999, and the Gators have made five Elite Eights under Billy Donovan and are still alive for a sixth. Michigan hasn't gone past the Sweet Sixteen since 1994, though they had a good team this year and were upset by Ohio in the first round. But the Fab Five still give them extra name recognition and a chance for a higher ceiling than what Tennessee currently enjoys. This is a tier Tennessee could find themselves very comfortable in if Cuonzo can continue our success consistently.
Hey, Remember Us?: Arizona, Maryland
Zona made the Final Four in 1994, won it in 1997, and was there again in 2001. Maryland was also a Duke victim in the 2001 Final Four, then won it all in 2002. Arizona made the Elite Eight in 2003, 2005, and 2011. But Maryland hasn't been out of the Sweet 16 since 2003. Both missed the tournament this year, more evidence that they are now far removed from the Kansas/MSU/UConn group of modern powers. Both still carry far more name recognition than Tennessee, but since 2005 Tennessee is more successful than either. And the Vols can still carry the banner of facilities and fan support over almost anyone in this argument. Is Tennessee a better job than these two schools?
The SEC of Basketball: Georgetown, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Villanova
With UConn already accounted for, how many other Big East jobs are better than Tennessee? They've all got different strengths: Syracuse can top Tennessee in average attendance, and though they've only made two Elite Eights since 1996 (including the 2003 title with Carmelo Anthony), they're always around the second weekend with eight Sweet Sixteen appearances in that same span. Georgetown has the history with three Final Fours in the 1980s and a return in 2007. Pittsburgh has five Sweet Sixteens since 2002 but only one Elite Eight in 2009, and hasn't been to the Final Four since 1941. Villanova has four Sweet Sixteens since 2005 and a Final Four in 2009, plus the draw of Philadelphia. And Louisville is the jack of all trades: great new arena, strong attendance, three Elite Eights since 2005. Louisville, for instance, is a better job than Tennessee because there is nothing we do better than them. And all of these teams have what UT never will: basketball is the heart and soul of their fanbase and their athletic department.
The Big City Draw: Georgia Tech, Illinois, Notre Dame, St. John's
Notre Dame could go in a couple of these tiers, but I put them here because they've been far less successful than the other football and Big East schools with just one Sweet Sixteen this century (2003). They join Illinois with a Chicago draw - the Illini made four Sweet Sixteens from 2001-05 and lost in the title game in the final year of that run, but haven't been past the second round since. Georgia Tech is an example of what went right for us this time last year, when I would've incorrectly said that Tennessee was all Pearl and Georgia Tech was a much better job - Brian Gregory went 11-20 (4-12) in year one, and GT hasn't turned its Atlanta location into success since 2004. And St. John's hasn't been nationally relevant since the 90s, but playing in Madison Square Garden will always get you on this list somewhere. Is Tennessee a better job than any of these?
Others Considered: Cincinnati, Memphis, Purdue, West Virginia, Wisconsin
And feel free to add your own to this list. Cincinnati has a recruiting advantage and plays in the Big East, but their on court record is far worse than UT's since 2000. It's always fun to get into this debate with our friends in the western part of the state - Memphis is joining a Big East that's losing West Virginia, Syracuse and Pittsburgh and could still lose others to the ACC in future expansion, but it'll still be a better test of how good their program truly is outside the friendly confines of Conference USA. I think it's more true now than ever that Tennessee is the better job. Purdue is especially dangerous where Cuonzo Martin is concerned, and though it plays second fiddle in its own state they have made three Sweet Sixteens since 2000. West Virginia is even better, with four Sweet Sixteens and a Final Four since 2005, but they're headed to the Big 12 and that won't help their cause. And Wisconsin is quietly always around, six Sweet Sixteens since 2000. All of these schools lack the facilities, fan support, and athletic department power that Tennessee has.
And remember: the Vols have made four Sweet Sixteens since 2000, three since 2007. That's greater consistency than most programs, including a few on this list. And the point remains that Tennessee is not only the second biggest power in the SEC traditionally, but if Cuonzo keeps this progress up we could establish ourselves as the second biggest power in the SEC on an annual basis, especially if Billy Donovan continues to struggle against us. Unlike the 1980s-90s, the basketball program has the support of the athletic department and Thompson-Boling Arena is now a spectacular facility. And unlike Jerry Green's brief run of success, Bruce Pearl built real fan support that Cuonzo Martin sustained this season.
Basketball will always be second fiddle in Knoxville, something that will probably keep Tennessee from ever cracking that top eight group. However, it also keeps unfair amounts of pressure from being put on the head coach. But beyond that issue, this has become a great job in a place where you can truly win consistently, with all the fan and financial support that comes along with that. And when you take both the short view - look not only at our success under Pearl, but the way Cuonzo handled what should've been a throwaway first year - and the long view of the team next year and the consistency we'll have built if they're successful, this is a great, great basketball job.
So, where would the Vols rank?
After the top eight, there are still several schools among these other tiers that I think are better jobs than UT...but not all of them. Though it's not a perfect fit, I would put the Vols in that football tier - all of the other schools there have a greater recruiting advantage, but Tennessee has been consistently better than Florida head-to-head and consistently better than the others overall during the last seven years. I think under Cuonzo Martin, Tennessee has a real chance to be a Top 15 program nationally, and give itself a real chance to take the next step, make the Final Four, and compete for championships. But it's consistency that's the mark of a truly great program - Pearl raised the bar here from "making the tournament is a success!" to expecting to be playing on the second weekend of the tournament every year. With our fan support and facilities, what Pearl built and what's coming back next year, and everything we've seen from Cuozno Martin, I think the Vols can continue to move forward in every way.

French police investigators on Thursday analyze the scene outside the building where a 32-hour long standoff with gunman Mohamed Merah, took place in Toulouse, France.
By msnbc.com staff and news services
TOULOUSE, France -- French police are examining video equipment and explosives recovered from Islamist extremist Mohamed Merah?s apartment to determine if the suspect in the killing of three children and four adults had any accomplices.
Merah, 23, died Thursday as he scrambled out of a ground-floor window during a gunbattle with elite police commandos. A police sniper shot him in the head, ending a 32-hour standoff at his Toulouse apartment, police said.
In contact with authorities during the standoff, he admitted that in three attacks he killed three Jewish children, a rabbi and three French paratroopers, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said.

Mohamed Merah, the suspect in the killing of 3 paratroopers, 3 children and a rabbi in France.
"A killer wanted, according to his own words, to bring France to its knees by sowing hatred and terror. He has been neutralized," President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is running for re-election next month, told a campaign rally in the eastern city of Strasbourg.
In a TV address, Sarkozy announced an investigation into whether Merah had accomplices and the possibilities of Islamist indoctrination practices in prison.
"Our Muslim compatriots have nothing to do with the crazy actions of a terrorist," Sarkozy said. "We should not embark on any stigmatization."
Jewish school slayings suspect dies in raid, officials say
Merah, a Frenchman of Algerian origin, was on a "no fly" list maintained by U.S. authorities, two American officials told The Associated Press. The officials would not disclose precisely when Merah was placed on the U.S. watch list.
U.S. and French authorities said Merah had traveled to Afghanistan around 2010 to obtain training from Islamic militants. He had spent time with militants along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border before being captured and returned to France.
At some point after his capture, two other U.S. officials said, Merah was held in custody by U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Precise details of how and when this occurred and what happened to him next are still unclear.
In Toulouse, police recovered a bag containing a GoPro video camera that Merah had used round his neck to film the killings.
Email trail led cops to suspect in Jewish school slayings
Islamic extremist Mohamed Merah, who bragged about killing seven people to punish France, jumped from a window after a French SWAT team burst into the apartment where he had been cornered for more than a day. NBC's Brian Williams reports.
Molins indicated Merah posted clips online. Molins described videos recovered from Merah's apartment showing the attacks, the BBC reported.
"These films are extremely explicit, as we were able to verify yesterday, in which evidently we see him during his encounter with a soldier who he shot twice, saying to him: 'You kill my brothers, I kill you'," Molins said. "Then we also see him killing the soldiers in Montauban in an extremely violent scene, fleeing on his scooter whilst shouting 'Allahu akbar' [God is great]."

Forensics officers Thursday investigate the building where self-professed al-Qaida militant Mohamed Merah, 23, was living on the first floor (window at far-right) in Toulouse, southwestern France.
A militant Islamist group called Jund al-Khilafah (Soldiers of the Caliphate) claimed responsibility for Merah's killings, according to a statement posted on an internet forum used by Islamists. It named the assailant as Yousef al-Ferensi and said his attack "shook the foundations of the Zio-Crusaderdom."
In Israel, tears and defiance at French shooting victims' burial
"Israel's crimes against our people in the blessed land of Palestine, especially in Gaza, will not go unpunished," said the group, which was previously unknown until it took credit in November for two explosions in a western Khazakh oil city.
The interior ministry declined to comment specifically on the statement but said there was no evidence Merah belonged formally to any group.
During the standoff, authorities said, Merah had told negotiators that he was trained by al-Qaida in Pakistan and killed three paratroopers last week and four people at a Jewish school on Monday to avenge the deaths of Palestinian children and because of French army involvement in Afghanistan.

Dortmund beats Fuerth with last shot of extra time
Associated Press Sports
updated 5:44 p.m. ET March 20, 2012
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -Substitute Ilkay Guendogan scored with the last shot of extra time for Borussia Dortmund to win 1-0 at second division Greuther Fuerth on Tuesday and reach the final of the German Cup.
Guendogan's shot from the edge of the penalty box hit the post and bounced off the back of goalkeeper Jasmin Fejzic into the net. Fejzic had come on just a couple of minutes before, with Greuther Fuerth believing the match was going into a penalty shootout.
Fejzic is renowned for his penalty-saving skills and can also score from the spot.
In the second semifinal, titleholder Bayern Munich visits Borussia Moenchengladbach on Wednesday.
Dortmund, the Bundesliga champion and front-runner, stayed on course for a domestic double and its third German Cup title.
"It was incredibly difficult," Dortmund's coach Juergen Klopp said. "We had to work very hard, they are a very good and very dangerous team. It was exactly what we expected."
After several near misses at promotion, Greuther Fuerth leads the second division and looks set to move up into the top tier.
Borussia dominated early possession and created a series of chances that went to waste.
Although Greuther Fuerth mostly defended well, Shinji Kagawa had an open header from six meters (yards) out sail high. Kagawa and Robert Lewandowski both failed to take advantage of a good cross in the 36th, and Kevin Grosskreutz had a header saved by Greuther Fuerth's goalkeeper Max Gruen.
Kagawa then shot wide and Grosskreutz wasted another opportunity.
Fuerth, playing a patient game, got a pair of late chances in normal time, but Olivier Occean missed both of them.
Occean shot high in the 112th minute and so did Jakub Blaszczykowski on the other side with three minutes remaining.

What You Should Know About Health Insurance Brokers | All About ...
For most people, shopping around for new health coverage is pretty much akin to getting a root canal. Well, it may not be quite as painful, but it certainly can be a headache. With most people leading incredibly busy lives, the hassle of calling around to insurer after insurer and providing the same information over and over, then analyzing the various quotes you get back can be a headache that you really don?t have time for. Health insurance brokers, however, offer a turnkey service that can take quite a bit of this hassle out of the picture for you.
Using health insurance brokers for coverage can make sure that you get the best quotes possible in the least amount of time. However, there are some things that you should be aware of before signing on to work with them. Here?s what you should know about health insurance brokers:
These professionals work for free for you, but they do get paid a commission from the insurer you decide to work with. Keep in mind that not all companies offer the same commission, and a broker may be swayed to try to steer you in one direction or another.
Many shoppers will try to combat the possibility of being steered into the not-quite-the-best policy by using the services of two or three health insurance brokers rather than just one. It may take you a little more time to get your information submitted to these brokers, but you will have a more likely time of seeing and reviewing top quotes when you use multiple brokers.
All of these professionals will need the same basic information from you, including the names, ages, and medical histories of everyone who will be on your policy. It?s best to have this information in front of you before you call.
You should also keep in mind that health insurance brokers typically will shop for the best rates for you, but they may not offer guidance in terms of which companies are most reputable. You likely will want to take the quotes you get back and review the company names online.
Read both consumer reports and trade reports to see which companies are truly worthy of your business. You may find that you whittle away a few of the quotes provided in this fashion. Also, if you work with multiple brokers, there may be some overlapping of plans provided to you as well. But you should be able to find a great plan from a reputable company with relative ease.
When compared to the alternative of spending hours and even days shopping around for coverage on your own, you can see that using the services of health insurance brokers is a great way to shop. However, there are certainly some areas you should be aware of when using their services. These areas likely should not make you want to avoid using them, but being aware of them can help to ensure you get the best deal possible on your coverage.

Garage Door Repair: How to Stop Screeching and Grinding Noises ...
Having a garage door in your home can be very beneficial for a wide range of reasons. They are extremely convenient and they can last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance. Much like your vehicle needs to be served on a regular basis, your garage door does too.
In this article, I will discuss one of my most common service calls, which is complaints of loud, grinding and scraping noises coming from their garage door. If you don?t maintain your door properly over the years, then this can easily happen. The cause of these types of noises are varied, but here are the main reasons these sounds could be occurring:
the metal hinges of the door may have rusted
your overhead door bolts and nuts have worn out and need replaced
the door may have become warped thanks to extreme temperatures over time
the screw in your screw drive type door has not been sprayed (oiled)
as is the case with many homeowners, you may not have maintained the garage door properly
In some cases, the use of a good silicone spray on springs, hinges and tracks can quiet a noisy overhead door. This solution won?t work for every type of door though. If this has not been done on a regular basis, serious damage may have been caused, requiring additional service. If you don?t exactly know what type of door that you have, you should call a professional to come to your home and help you out. Don?t procrastinate when it comes to getting your garage door fixed if you notice it making a lot of noise. It?s best to get these repairs made quickly so that you don?t have to end up spending a lot of money to have them done in the future.
In order to hire a great garage door service, you will need to take a few things into account.
- Make sure the door repair company is experienced in all types of overhead doors
- If screeching or grinding doors is your problem, then hire a company that has dealt with these situations in the past.
- Make sure the company you call is licensed to conduct business in your area. It?s quite easy to establish one of these companies, so you will need to avoid hiring one of these fly-by-night operations. Before you hire a company, insist on seeing their business license information. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Autism and Support Groups | Health and Fitness - rovvysaip's ...
The internet has become a popular tool in the development of an autistic community. It provides an area for conversation and the development of interpersonal relationships while eliminating the environmental stimuli that often confuses and is misinterpreted by autistic individuals, such as non-verbal cues and emotional sharing. People with autism tend to find it hard to interact with these two things. Unfortunately however, because of the way autistic perceive their environments and compute certain facts, the internet can also be dangerous and unhealthy. An autistic person may find it hard to determine whether someone is lying to them or not and the internet is a plethora of scams and misconceptions. Not to mention the fact that it can be a prime source of bullying and teasing as well. Yet an autistic person while being more susceptible to such ?games? won?t know the farce that is right in front of them. Despite this however, in recent years there has been an outpouring of autistic groups and discussion boards geared towards the social lives of these individuals. All in all, the internet has proved beneficial in allowing autistic children to communicate somewhat clearly on their own behalf.
A bridge between the above ?world? and that of the one they live in can be found in the retreat/seminar known as Autreat. This retreat is hosted by Autism Network International and is for autistic people, instead of other such retreats which seem to be more about them than anything else. Autreat offers a sensory free environment and the attendees are in no way pressured to interact or socialize. They can do what they want at a pace comfortable to them. Other such retreats have formed as well, some hosting interactive communication tools via the internet that allow a group of people to converse with each other as if in an online chat room despite being in the same room. All of this is done for the comfort of the autistic individual so as to allow them to have some sort of social life.
It is important to understand that Autism is more a way of life than anything else. An individual has no control over how they are born, vis. the chemical makeup of the brain and genetics. It is essential then to put forth the effort at making said individual comfortable with the world they were born into and able to utilize what tools they have to live a balanced life in it. Autistic children may see things differently, they may learn and perceive things in a way that we don?t understand or cannot interpret, but this doesn?t make them any less of a person than anyone else. Autism isn?t a disease that is to be cured. It is a different way of perception in life that people should seek to understand. If people would think of autistic children in this light and work to accept them as individuals and help them understand the world they live in, everyone would be much happier with the results. Nothing is going to fix overnight, but the future can be bright for everyone involved.

Top Lifestyle Trends | Chicago Real Estate | Home Trends ...
How trendy is your Chicago real estate? Builder.com recently compiled a list of the top 10 lifestyle trends in homes for 2012. While certain trends are things we might take for granted in our homes, some others may surprise you. Here are just a few of the trends highlighted:
Community Gardens
While taking a stroll through your beautiful community garden might be soothing and stress relieving, the Urban Land Institute states that a shared garden can actually bring the community together. Gayle Berens, a senior vice president at the Urban Land Institute, mentioned that the growing and sharing of fresh food is a great use of the vacant land that also promotes a sense of community among members.
Do-It-Yourself
Remodeling?Chicago real estate is a trend that is definitely on the rise. While many are not ready to invest in Chicago new homes, small do-it-yourself projects can polish up your old home or give it some pizzaz.
Single-Level Homes
See ya later, stairs! Of the 10 best-selling plans at this year?s 2012 Builder House Plans, seven of them were single level homes. While this is a great trend for older buyers and active adults, the single level is also catching on with younger families too.
Many Generations, One Roof
According to the Pew Research Center, a whopping 51.4 million Americans were living in a multigenerational home in 2009. While baby boomers who deny moving into assisted living facilities are moving in, so are the kids. Younger adults between the ages of 25 and 34 had the sharpest increase, about 16.8 percent, among people living in multigenerational homes. That number means that about 1.3 million people are moving back in with older relatives.
For more information about the lifestyle trends and which ones can be seen in your?Chicago real estate or community, visit the Builder.com article.
